Jalgaon: District Congress General Secretary Asif Khan Ismail Khan killed in a road accident after a truck hit his car on Jalna- Sindkhed Raja Road on Tuesday.
He was accompanied by the other two who were seriously injured in the accident and are being treated at an intensive care unit of a private hospital in Jalna.
The injured have been identified as Congress taluka president Atmaram Jadhav and Adv Santosh Ingle.
According to the police, Asif Khan, Atmaram Jadhav and Adv. Santosh Ingle were travelling to Muktainagar from Aurangabad via Jalna by car on Tuesday night. Around 9.30 pm, Khan’s car was hit by a truck on Jalna-Sindkhed Raja road. Khan died on the spot while Jadhav and Ingle were critically injured and rushed to a private hospital in Jalna.
After getting information about the accident, Congress workers started gathering at the Dr Jagdish Patil Hospital in Muktainagar.
