Pune: A 23-year-old youth was shot at and his brother beaten by a group of 16 members allegedly over a gang supremacy dispute in Nigdi area. The incident happened on Wednesday late night.

The injured youth have been identified as Aakash Basavraj Dodmani (23) and Ravi Basavraj Dodmani (26), both residents of Ota Scheme in Nigdi. The arrested suspects have been identified as Raghu alias Yash Atul Kadam (20), Chorgundya alias Vijay Shinde (32), Pradeep Jagdale, Vishal Solase, all residents of Ota Scheme in Nigdi. The other suspects who have been booked are Kiran Shivaji Khavale (28), a resident of Nigdi, Rohan Chandaliya (24), a resident of Jadhav Vasti in Ravet, Manoj Hande (25), a resident of Chikhali and 10 others.

Aakash Dodmani has lodged the complaint in this regard. According to the complaint, suspects Khavale, Raghu, Chorgundya, Solase, Chandaliya and others hatched a conspiracy. They were beating up Ravi Dodmani on Wednesday night. When Aakash came to know about this, he rushed to the spot and asked the suspects the reason behind beating up his brother. At that time, the suspects pulled out a pistol and opened fire on Aakash. Aakash and Ravi both were seriously injured in the incident.
