Pune : Father injured in knife attack by son over property dispute in Khadki

Pune: A 68-year-old man got seriously injured in a knife-attack by his own son in Khadki over a family property dispute.

The injured man has been identified as Puranchand Aher (68), a resident of Gawaliwada in Khadki. His son Kapil (36) and daughter-in-law Nisha (30) have been booked on charges of assault. FIR have been registered against the husband-wife duo at Khadki police station.

According to police, Puranchand and his son Kapil were having disputes over the property at Gawaliwada in Khadki. Puranchand wanted to start an animal shelter at the property next to the house while his son had kept a machine at the place. Puranchand had filed an application with Khadki Cantonment Board to remove the machine from the property.

Kapil got angry due to this application made by his father and started arguing with him. The heated argument turned violent with Kapil taking out a knife and attacking his father. Kapil’s wife Nisha also attacked her mother-in-law with wooden sticks when she tried to intervene and stop the fight.
