Pune: The Maratha Kranti Morcha has decided to carry out a protest march on December 8 in Mumbai.
The decision was taken in a meeting attended by the state-level office bearers of the Maratha Kranti Morcha on Sunday (November 29) in Pune. MKM Coordinator Rajendra Kondhre and others were present during the meeting in which it was decided to carry out a morcha on Vidhan Bhavan during the assembly session in Mumbai.
The Maratha Kranti Morcha has also decided to conduct protests at the district level offices of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) against the derailed recruitment process. These protests will be conducted on December 1 and 2 at the offices of the Superintendent Engineers of MSEDCL at all districts.
Kondhre said, “There is unrest in Maratha community over the reservation issue. The MSEDCL has announced recruitment drive on December 2. It was announced that the ECBC category candidates will be included in the recruitment process however no due process has been followed so far. Hence candidates from Maratha community are wary about the recruitment process and their concerns should be addressed.”
“If the state government postpones the assembly session then we will carry out a long march in Mumbai between December 15 to 20. We want to put forward our concerns about the unrest in Maratha community and hence we will protesting in Mumbai,” Kondhre added.
