Pune: Mayor Murlidhar Mohol honored with 'Surya Bhushan National Award' by Suryadatta Group of Institutes 

Pune: Suryadatta Group of Institutes honoured Mayor Murlidhar Mohol with the ‘Surya Bhushan National Award’ for his exemplary work during the COVID19 outbreak.

Along with Mohol, Vaishali Jadhav, Anita Gawai, Soni Bhatkule, Pooja Khare, Prasad Tayde, Maroti Suryakar, Pallavi Kalane from Kasar Amboli Covid Center were awarded with certificates.

Entrepreneur and Social activist CA Raj Deshmukh, District Governor of Lions Clubs International CA Abhay Shastri, Madhuri Shastri, social activist Prithviraj Dhoka, Founder President of Suryadatta Group of Institutes Prof Dr Sanjay Chordia, Vice President Sushma Chordia, social activist Seema Dabke, youth singer Chaitanya Devdhe and others were present on the occasion.

Mohol said, “The sudden outbreak of COVID19 had put the healthcare services under strain in the city. During such challenging times, social organizations and activists came forward as ‘Covid warriors’ and joined the fight against the virus. The combined efforts of people from all sections of the society made the fight easier and we succeeded in overcoming the threat.”

Dr Chordia said, “Pune city has experience the leadership qualities of Mohol and we are happy to honour him and other people who have contributed in the fight against COVID19.”

CA Abhay Shastri said, “The Lions Club did a very good job during the COVID19 outbreak. Many organizations worked to support the needy and disadvantaged in the community.”
