Pune: Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla shared the first look of the COVISHIELD vaccine which has got final approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) on Sunday for public use. Adar also assured everyone that the vaccine will be rolled out in coming weeks.
In a tweet, Adar says, “Happy new year, everyone! All the risks @SerumInstIndia took with stockpiling the vaccine, have finally paid off. COVISHIELD, India’s first COVID-19 vaccine is approved, safe, effective and ready to roll-out in the coming weeks.”
