Pune: Wanawadi police arrest two girls in attempt to murder and arms case

Pune: Wanawadi police have booked six persons including two girls of 21 years of age in connection with an attempt to murder and arms act case. The two girls have been arrested on Monday (January 18) evening. Police have seized one pistol, one sword and two sickles from the possession of suspects.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Ambika Arjun Misal (21), residing at Sathe Nagar in Tarawade Vasti at Mohammadwadi and Kajal Madhukar Wadkar (21) residing at Wadkar Mala on Mohammadwadi Road in Hadapsar.

The other suspects booked in the case were identified as Aakash Santosh Bharati, Aniket alias Monty Sharad Mane, Sunny alias Girish Mahendra Hiwale, all residing in Mohammadwadi area and Chetan Dhebe from Sinhagad Road.

Nagesh Pandharinath Misal (42), a resident of Keshav Nagar and originally from Osmanabad has filed a complaint in this regard. Based on his complaint, FIR has been registered against all suspects under sections 307, 143, 144, 147, 148, 149, 506(2), 323, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Arms Act.

According to police, the complainant was headed towards his home on Sunday night at 10pm when he met Ambika Misal. The complainant warned her about staying away from Monty alias Aniket Mane. Furious over this, Monty slapped the complainant. The other suspect Aakash Bharati was also angry with the complainant over past enmity and pulled out a pistol and unsucessfully tried to fire two rounds.

Sunny Hiwale and Chetan Dhebe then beat up the complainant and attacked him with sword and sickle in their possession. Ambika and Kajal also stepped in and started beating up the complainant. The girls then forced the complainant to remove his blood-stained shirt and took it with them.

The complainant then approached Wanawadi police station and filed a complaint against the six suspects. Police Sub-Inspector Jogdand is investigating the case.
