Velapur: In an unfortunate incident that took place on the Monday morning, two motorists have been killed while one has been severely injured after their vehicle hit a tipper and slipped under the heavy vehicle. The heavy vehicle MH.13 CU 9884 belongs to S.M Autade Construction company.
In this accident that took place at around 10.30 am, Tushar Jadhav (18) was killed on the spot, Babasaheb Mane (17) succumbed to injuries while being taken to the hospital, while Dhananjay Mane (17) is critically injured and currently undergoing treatment near Akluj.
According to the relatives, the accident happened after cops chased the motorists which led to the slipping of vehicle.
The relatives have now staged a protest in the police station premises and have demanded that action should be taken against Vinod Sathe, the cop who was chasing the vehicle. Meanwhile, considering the seriousness of the situation, senior police Officer Dhiraj Rajguru marches to the spot and now the further procedure of lodging a First Information Report is underway.
