Lucknow : A major accident has taken place in Meerut of Uttar Pradesh. In Pir Jadgan locality of Sardhana, there was chaos this morning when the roof of many houses collapsed after a huge explosion. It is being told that two people died on the spot in the accident. While a dozen were seriously injured. Firecrackers were kept in the house where the explosion took place.
The explosion was very severe. The police reached the incident spot immediately upon receiving information and admitted all the injured to the hospital. Police have sealed the locality and started an investigation into the accident. It is being told that the blast took place at the house of former city president Asim of a party at around 9:30 pm. The roof of the surrounding houses collapsed due to the explosion.
It is being told that Asim died on the spot in the accident, while Kasim died on the way to the hospital. Apart from this, a dozen neighbors have been seriously injured. There are reports that firecrackers were kept in the house. Apart from this, a lot of Gunpowder was present in the house.
It is being told that along with the gunpowder, a gas cylinder also caught fire, due to which the explosion broke the walls of many houses. At present, the police have sealed the locality and started investigating the accident.
