Mumbai: Akshay Kumar, has too many feather in his cap when it comes to blockbuster films. Akshay Kumar today touched 53, celebrating his birthday in Scotland. Currently, Akshay is shooting for his next film Belbottom in Scotland. He has record of giving back to back hit films. Akshay has given 12 consecutive hits in a span of three years.
Series started with airlift
The string of hit films started with the 2016 release Airlift, which garnered a super hit rating of 129 crores at the box office. Housefull 3, which came in the same year, collected about 108 crores and was successful. Rustom was a super hit with a collection of over 127 crores. Jolly LLB 2 (117 Crore) and Toilet Ek Prem Katha (133.60 Crore) hits in 2017. In 2018, Padman (79 Crore), Gold (108 Crore) and 2.0 (188 Crore) were declared hits.
2019 was a year of great achievements for Akshay. He had 4 films and all four were hits. These films are Kesari (153 crores), Mission Mangal (114 crores), Housefull 4 (206 crores) and Good News (201 crores).

Rajesh Khanna, the first superstar of Hindi cinema, gave 15 consecutive hits between 1969 and 1971, in just two years. This is the record that is still unbreakable. No actor has broken it till date. Even Amitabh Bachchan, who was called the great hero of the century, could not match this record of Rajesh Khanna.
