Pimpri: Bhosari MIDC police have arrested seven persons from Sanjay Gandhinagar area in Moshi for engaging in prohibited activities of gambling and seized Rs 1.66 lakh in cash (Police raid gambling)from them.
The suspects have been identified as Sohail Shaikh, (27), a resident of Vallabh Nagar, Pimpri, Satish Lokhande (30), resident of Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, Moshi, Vishal Gaikwad (23), resident of Kalewadi, Pimpri, Rahul Savle (20), Ganesh Upade, (19), Bharat Sudhare (40) all three from Sanjay Gandhi Nagar in Moshi and Raju Shaikh (33), from Adarshnagar in Moshi.
Police constable Swapnil Landage has lodged a complaint in this regard at Bhosari MIDC police station. Police received information that few people were gambling in the Borhadewadi in Sanjay Gandhi Nagar slums. Police raided the spot on Wednesday evening and arrested 7 people and recovered Rs 1.66 lakh cash.
