Pune: Railway Hospital Medical staff honoured for their service

Pune: Honouring the ones who have been on the forefront of the covid-19 battle, the Divisional Railway Manager, Renu Sharma, has awarded the doctors and other medical staff of the city’s Railway Hospital for their service during the on-going pandemic. A shield and certificate has been handed over to them.

The railway hospital near near the railway station premises is a 50-bed facility, meant for 10,000 employees of the Pune division and more than 5,000 retired railway personnel

The hospital got a Covid isolation ward in last week of March where oxygen beds and non-invasive ventilation facility are being provided to the patients.

In order to prevent a second wave of infection in the city, the Pune district administration has put in a team of doctors and health officials at railway stations to test every passenger coming from Gujarat, Delhi, Rajasthan and Goa for Covid symptoms.
