Pune: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has now improved its online system for backlog exams, to avoid mistakes made during the final year exams.

In addition, students will be able to register their grievances by selecting one of the eight options in their “Student Login” in case of any difficulty in the examination.

The results will be announced without waiting for the completion of all the examinations.

Pune University is conducting backlog and grade improvement examination which began Tuesday (December 8).

During the final year examination, students faced many technical difficulties. They were reporting it to the help desk but didn’t get a proper answer.

So the students took 4 to 5 hours to write a one-hour examination. Hence this has been rectified after the university management faced backlash because of errors during the final year examination conducted online.

Most of the complaints included students not able to log in, some got different subject question paper, while some couldn’t submit the question paper.

If students have technical difficulties in the backlog or grade improvement exams, they can go to student login and click on “Online Exam Grievances”.

Dr. Mahesh Kakade, director of Examinations said, “Eight options have been given for non-appearance of figures, non-subject questions, and non-submission of papers”.

He further added, “The results for the particular paper will be out within 24 hours of the examination being conducted. Although the backlog examination will run till December 23, the University will display results within 24 hours”.
