Bihar Election 2020: Kanhaiya Kumar says, If you call me traitor, I will join BJP

Patna: The Jawaharlal Nehru University alumni association president and CPI leader Kanhaiya Kumar has commanded the campaign in Bihar elections. CPI candidates from Bakheri and Teghda seats filed nominations on Monday. Kanhaiya Kumar was also present during the nominations

While addressing a public meeting after the nomination, Kanhaiya said that in the 2015 assembly elections, people had voted for the Janata Dal United (JDU) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Nitish Kumar had become the Chief Minister. However, the BJP hacked the Chief Minister. Kanhaiya raised questions over voters to choose such people this time in the elections who do not change anything later. Kanhaiya pointed out that earlier people used to say that EVMs are hacked, but now the BJP has hacked the Chief Minister.

, he said, “when Jyotiraditya Scindia was in the Congress he was humiliated and as soon as he joined BJP he started speaking good of him and he suddenly became good”.

Taking a sarcastic dig at BJP, he said, “if you call me traitor, then I will too join BJP and all the allegations against me will be washed over. Similar to the Jyotiraditya Scindia, when he was in Congress he was bad as soon as he joined BJP, Scindia became a great man”. Kanhaiya further added, “the public has understood and now they will vote on the issue of development rather than being influenced by the jumlebaaz”.

CPI is a part of RJD-led grand alliance. The seats of the Bakhri and Teghra assembly have come to the party’s account. The party has nominated Suryakant Paswan and Ram Ratan Singh from Bakhri. Kanhaiya is in the list of CPI’s star campaigners. The party recently released a list of its 30 star campaigners. The names of party general secretaries D Raja, Kanhaiya Kumar and Bihar secretary Ramnaresh Pandey have topped it.
