Former MLA of Khed Gore passed away at age of 55 due to coronavirus

Pune: Former Shiv Sena MLA of Khed district Suresh Namdevrao Gore passed away due to coronavirus infection. A 55 years old was reported to be infected from coronavirus. Gore has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Pune for the past one month. He finally breathed his last in the hospital today.

Suresh Gore had earlier served as the Vice President of Pune Zilla Parishad. He was a member of the Chakan Zilla Parishad group. In 2014, he contested from Alandi Assembly constituency. He had won that election. Gore an MLA from 2014 to 2019. He was a staunch supporter of NCP’s Sharad Pawar and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. In 2009, he was nominated by the NCP for Khed. However, it was canceled, that disappointment made Gore then join the Shiv Sena and won the election.  Today Shiv  Sena leader met his fate due to coronavirus.

Today, another government IAS officer Sudhakar Shinde passed away due to COVID-19 in Pune. The 35 years old was a 2015 batch IAS officer from Tripura cadre.  Shinde took his last breath at Ruby Hall Clinic Hospital Pune where he was admitted for the treatment.

Many veterans in various fields have lost their lives due to the Coronavirus pandemic including a large number of government employees and officials.  The spread of coronavirus is increasing continuously across the state. The number of corona patients in the state had crossed the 15 lakh mark on Friday. The total number of patients in the state has reached 15, 06,018 and at present 2, 36,491 active patients are undergoing treatment  at various hospitals with 302 fatalities. The total number of deaths so far is 39,732. A total of 12,134 new patients were found during the day on Friday.
