Gujarat plans for Cow Tourism

Ahmedabad : At present, tourists from home and abroad are coming to Gujarat for lion watching. In the same way, the government has made preparations to attract tourists to come to Gujarat to see cows. The Madhya Pradesh government has formed a cow cabinet for breeding and protection of cows. Then the Central Kamdhenu Commission has made a plan to make Gujarat a cow based tourism center. The scheme has included Gaushalas in the state and Gauchar Land in Dharmaj in Anand district in the tourist circuit.
Development of Cow Tourism
Vallabh Kathiria, chairman of the National Kamadhenu Commission, said a cow-based tourism center was being set up with the help of the Indian government. Circuit construction is currently suspended due to the transition of corona. But once the situation of Corona subsides, cow-based tourism will be developed in Gujarat.
More than 800 breeds of cows in Gujarat
There are different breeds of cows in India. These include Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Goa. In Gujarat, cows of different species are found in Saurashtra, North Gujarat, Central Gujarat and South Gujarat. There are more than 800 cowsheds in Gujarat. Which will be included in the tourism route. So now ‘Cow Tourism’ will also be seen in the tourism map. There are cowsheds in other states including Gujarat and the main source of income is animal husbandry, there is also a large number of pastoralists. Then covering the cowsheds in the national route will give a boost to cow tourism. Tourists will be explained about the use and benefits of cow’s urine and manure. For which the commission has approached some such cowsheds in Gujarat. So that tourists will be shown these cowsheds during their visit to Gujarat.
Gaushala of Gujarat will be contacted
A large number of tourists come to Gujarat for lion watching. Then cow tourism will be started in the state and the country to make cows a center of attraction for tourists. There are a large number of gaushalas in other states including Gujarat. So the idea of creating cow tourism came up. Tourism giving knowledge for protection of cows is going to be started all over the country including Gujarat. Tourists will also be shown shelters for cows in Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Bhuj in Gujarat. A special package tour will be organized for those who want to see cow tourism in the major states of India.
