Hindustani Aawam Morcha (HAM-S), led by Jitan Ram Manjhi, announced its move to end alliance with the Mahagathbandhan on Thursday. The decision came after a meeting of the core committee of the party held at the residence of Jitan Ram Manjhi on Thursday.

According to sources, A conversation between Jitan Ram Manjhi and Nitish Kumar has brought Manjhi to enter into the NDA again. Nitish Kumar is ready to give 9 to 12 seats to the Hindustani Aawam Morcha in the assembly elections, while Manjhi had demanded 15 seats for the Bihar assembly elections. Manjhi had demanded some seats for BJP’s quota in Magadh region, on which the talks are going with BJP leaders. The Manjhi will be part of NDA once BJP approves it.

Jitan Ram Manjhi has also demanded the presence of BJP leaders while joining the NDA. There are speculations that Manjhi will join the NDA by August 31. Manjhi had recently separated himself due to lack of attention in the Grand Alliance.

Santosh Suman, an MLC and son of Jitan Ram Manjhim said, ‘A decision was taken in the core committee meeting that our party will snap ties with the Grand Alliance. We were constantly neglected by Tejashwi Yadav, we demanded formation of a coordination committee to run the Grand Alliance properly, but Yadav was imposing his decisions.

The polls are likely to be held sometime in October-November after the term of the Bihar legislative assembly comes to an end on November 29.
