J&K : Encounter in Srinagar, Three Terrorists Killed, One CRPF Officer Injured

Srinagar : An encounter between security forces and militants has started in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. This encounter is going on in the Batamaloo area from 3.50 am on Thursday. The surrounding area is cordoned off. Also, the movement to security forces has increased in Srinagar.

The CRPF’s QAT and SOG personnel are fighting the terrorists. It is reported that three terrorists have been killed. However, a CRPF officer is also reported to be injured. At the moment, the encounter continues.

Earlier on Wednesday, security forces received input about the hiding of terrorists in Marvel village of Kakapora, Pulwama. After this, the security forces cordoned off the area and started the search operation. Meanwhile, the militants started firing on the security forces.

The militants were surrounded by J&K Police, Army’s 50 RR and CRPF joint team. Security forces got information about the hiding of two to three terrorists. Two soldiers were injured in this encounter. Encounter is still going on.
