Hathras : Amidst of all the outage across the country over the alleged gang rape and murder of a Dalit girl in Hathras, another case of violence against a girl came to light in Aligarh. A boy allegedly raped six-year-old girl, a resident of Aligarh who died at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
In the gruesome crime, a six-year-old girl was forcibly locked in her house by her relative. The 15-year-old boy was a cousin of the girl whom he raped in Iglas in Aligarh about 10 days back.
The Superintendent of Police Muniraj ji said on Tuesday that a six-year-old girl, a resident of a village in Sadabad police station area of Hathras district, was recovered from the house of a village in Igalas police station area of Aligarh on September 17. She was the native of Hathras but was currently living in Aligarh.
Further he added, “the house was raided by the police on the complaint of a social organization. The house belongs to a relative of that girl. The girl was admitted to Aligarh’s Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in critical condition, where she was treated for four days. After that, her condition deteriorated and was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi where she succumbed to injuries.
Senior Superintendent of Police said that on September 21, the girl’s family had complained to the police that their daughter was forcibly locked in her house by her relative. Taking action on this complaint, the police raided the house and caught a 15-year-old boy of the family who was a girl’s near cousin. The accused mother who was also victim’s aunt was involved in this brutal crime
Senior Superintendent of Police said that the IGLS station chief has been suspended for negligence in this case and two police teams have been formed to search for the co-accused woman.
Earlier, people of the victim’s family brought the body of the girl from Delhi and placed it on the main road in Hathras and demonstrated against the failure of the police today. However, on the assurance of senior police officers, the family agreed to cremate the body.
