Lasalgaon : Considering the situation of buying and selling onions in Nashik district, the Center has imposed restrictions on onion storage for traders. The onion trader is concerned and is facing many difficulties due to limited storage capacity. This has created an atmosphere of dissatisfaction among traders. This is affecting onion purchase and this is directly affecting the farmers.
Farmers are in a worrying situation as onion purchase is on halt at many places. Onion traders and farmers should be allowed to sell their onions within the next ten days immediately before the onions start spoiling. Also, Dr. Bharti Pawar, MP from Dindori Lok Sabha, has immediately gone to Delhi and asked Union Minister Raosaheb Danve to take a positive decision to increase the onion storage capacity.
Union Minister Raosaheb Danve assured MP Dr Bharti Pawar that he would soon take up the matter with the business community. The Union government will always support the farmers and will not let the farmers suffer.
