Pune: Since the drug angle has surfaced in Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case, many Bollywood – lister actress are summoned by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). NCB arrested Rhea Chakraborty, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh have been called for investigation. However, Bollywood and drugs is not new to world. The world of glamor was already involved in drug addiction. There are many Bollywood and Hollywood stars that were addicted to drugs. Many have joined the rehab Center and made a tremendous comeback in the industry.
Robert Downey Jr.
Robert Downey Jr. is also known as ironman, he remained in jail due to drug addiction. In the 90s Robert used to take a variety of drugs. Eventually he lost all the work. He tried to get rid of it many times but failed. In 2004, his wife Suzanne stipulated to marry him but for that he would have to give up drugs. Then after a lot of effort, he was able to leave it. Today, he is counted among the most expensive Hollywood stars.
Daniel Radcliffe
The Harry Potter series was a worldwide hit but its lead actor Daniel Radcliffe was a victim of depression. Due to which he started drinking alcohol. When the last film of the Harry Potter series was being shot, Daniels used to come on sets drunk several times, affecting his work too. In 2015, Daniel admitted that he had become addicted to alcohol. In an interview, Daniel said that after drinking alcohol, I used to be a different person. I was very disappointed and upset. During the depression, I walked for 5 to 6 hours. I felt that fresh air and workouts are necessary for a better life. Now I walk often.
Sanjay Dutt
Sunil Dutt and Nargis’s son Sanjay Dutt became Bad Boy as noted by film Sanju, film based on Sanjay Dutt’s life. He had accepted that he used to take drugs such as heroin at an early age. Once Sanjay Dutt had said that after taking drugs, he slept for two days. He also stayed at the rehab Center for two years to get rid of it.
Prateik Babbar
Prateik Babbar, son of Raj Babbar and Smita Patil, could not succeed in Bollywood like his parents. He blames his drug addiction for his slow career. Prateik stayed at the rehab Center in 2017 after which he managed to quit drugs. Prateik believes that his career was also affected due to drug addiction.
Lady Gaga
Oscar-winning singer Lady Gaga was addicted to cannabis. She also went through heavy pain due to the addiction. In 2013, Lady Gaga said that ‘I have promised myself that I will stay away from any kind of intoxication’.
