New Delhi : The Rawalpindi General Headquarters of the Pakistani Army has been able to build operational coordination between the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants in Kashmir since August 2019, as per the media reports. The consequences of such synergy are usually coordinated terrorist attacks.
According to a dossier prepared by Indian intelligence and security agencies, Jaish commander Mufti Mohammad Asghar Khan held a series of meetings between Kashmiri joint coordination with senior officials of banned terrorist organizations including Lashkar, JEM, Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and Taliban.
According to intelligence inputs, the first important meeting took place on December 27, 2019, when Aamir Hamza, general secretary of Lashkar’s parent organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa, met with Mark Subhan Allah, senior JM office bearers. The meeting was held to form a joint strategy to share resources and intensify operations against India, Bahawalpur.
Meetings were held in Islamabad on 3–8 January and 19 January 2020 in support of Pakistan.These meetings were attended by top officials of two world-class terrorist groups, including Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar, JM’s chief Maulana Ammar, brother of the ailing JM chief Masood Azhar, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, chief operating commander of Lashkar. After deciding on operational strategy, Mufti Asghar Kashmiri established contact with LeT officials in authorized Kashmir to implement the scheme on the ground.
