Pune: In yet another cruelty to animal case which has come to light, a dog has been found burnt alive after being stuffed inside a gunny bag in Sangvi area. While another dog – belonging to pet owner Vinod Murar – died of poisoning on the same day in Pimple Gurav. Both the incident came to light after Murar inspected the locality to find out reason behind death of his pet. Meanwhile, police have sent the samples for forensic analysis and are awaiting reports.

Murar has filed a complaint in this regard at the Sangvi police station. Murar noticed that his dog was foaming at the mouth when it returned home after a walk. The dog died after a while. Murar suspected that someone has poisoned his dog. So, he stepped out of his house and started inspected the area. He found that another dog was burnt alive in a bag while two crows were also lying dead on road in the area.

A few days before, a dog was thrown off a four-storeyed building in Pimpri by an unidentified suspect in which the pet had died. A woman named Fareenjahan Shaikh noticed this and filed a complaint with the police. MP Maneka Gandhi had also taken cognizance of this FIR and appealed to police to investigate the matter thoroughly.
