MTDC has now decided to operate the resort on its own. The 25-bed facility has five private rooms and two dormitories with a capacity of eight persons each at the resort. The resort will be helpful for families and trekkers. The MTDC will also start a small restaurant on site.

MTDC Pune Region Manager Deepak Harane told media persons that due to the lockdown, the fort was closed and hence the renovation work was stalled. “Renovation work resumed on December 23, 2020 and is now in the ‘finishing touch’ stage.

Special discounts will be given to people who visit destinations for pre wedding shoots, corporate meetings and work from nature. All the precautions related to Covid-19 will be taken,” Harane said.

MTDC has also released a Google Form for corporates and groups to avail the facilities.
