38 Production Houses & Institutions Including Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir Files Suit Against Channels

New Delhi :  38 film companies and institutions have filed a suit in the Delhi High Court alleging tarnishing the image of the Bollywood film industry, giving irresponsible, insulting and defamatory statements about Bollywood and appealed to stop media trials by some media houses and TV Journalists. The plaintiffs include several large production houses including the companies of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan.

In the last four months, all the media reports have said a lot about Bollywood. In particular, during the investigation of drugs, many Bollywood celebrities were associated with it and an attempt was made to describe Bollywood as a stronghold of banned products like drugs. The civil suit filed in the Delhi High Court includes the names of Republic TV and Times Now.

The lawsuit also seeks to remove news that tarnishes Bollywood’s image by adhering to program code from news channels. It is alleged that the channels have used extremely vulgar language regarding Bollywood. 34 big production houses and 4 film institutes have come together for this cause. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has shared the list of names of all these.

According to this list, the Film and Television Producers Guild of India, Screen Writers Association, The Cine and TV Artists Association and Indian Film and TV Producers Council are included. While Aamir Khan Productions, Shah Rukh Khan’s company Red Chillies Entertainment, Salman Khan Films, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Ad-Labs Films, Ajay Devgan Films, Anil Kapoor Film and Communication Network, Arbaaz Khan Productions, Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Good Films, Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, Rakesh Roshan’s Filmkraft Productions, Kabir Khan Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Pictures, Reliance Big Entertainment, Roy Kapoor Films, Sohail Khan Productions are included.
