Mumbai: The Security has been increased outside the mansion of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan ahead of the controversial statement made by Jaya Bachchan in Parliament.
According to the sources, after the statement of Jaya Bachchan, the security outside Big B’s house has been further strengthened. The additional security has been provided by Mumbai Police outside their bungalow ‘Jalsa’ in Juhu. Even on social media, Amitabh Bachchan and his family was targeted after the statement made by Jaya Bachchan.
On the issue of drugs connection with Bollywood, Jaya Bachchan said in Parliament that it is being used to tarnish the image of the Bollywood industry. Jaya Bachchan said that a conspiracy is being made to defame Bollywood with drugs. The statement came in response to BJP MP Ravi Kishan statement during Zero hour session.
Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan raised the issue of increasing drug use and smuggling in the country and Bollywood on the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. He had said that drug addiction is very high in the Indian film industry. I appeal to the central government to take strict action on this, apprehend the culprits as soon as possible.
On this statement of Ravi Kishan, Jaya Bachchan said in the Rajya Sabha, ‘ in Lok Sabha yesterday, an MP gave a statement about Bollywood who himself is from the Bollywood industry. This is shame, you are biting the hand that feeds you. This is wrong’.
She further added, ‘those who earned the fame due to this industry, they are only calling it a gutter. I do not support it’.
