Higher Education Minister Uday Samant announces Janata Darbar at University initiative

Pune: Minister of Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant has announced an unique initiative called Janata Darbar at University.

The initiative aims to resolve all queries and problems faced by the university, colleges, faculty and students at their local level, instead of them approaching in Mumbai at the Ministry or Pune which has all office headquarters.

The first Janata Darbar is being conducted at Kolhapur and has been named as Higher and Technical Education @ Kolhapur. Programs held at other universities will also be named accordingly.

For Pune University, the programme will be held in Pune and Nashik. In the Kolhapur programme, 1200 complaints will be resolved on priority.

Samant said, “Along with me, Principal Secretary, Director, Deputy Director of the department, Vice-Chancellor of concerned university, officers from the Mantralaya will be present for the Janata Darbar. Due to this, the grievances will be addressed instantly.”
