Pune: Pune Rural Police’s Local Crime Branch (LCB) has arrested a suspect in a sexual offence case after 2.5 years after(sexual offence case) he had absconded.
Bhau alias Suresh Khomane (27) from Rahu in Daund tehsil, has been arrested by the police. Shirur Police had registered a case against him on charges of rape.
Meanwhile, the Local Crime Branch sleuths received a tipoff that Khomane was at Rahu village. The police laid a trap for the accused and arrested him on December 7 night.
This investigation was carried under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Dr Abhinav Deshmukh, Additional SP (Baramati) Milind Mohite and was led by Police Inspector Padmakar Ghanwat, Sub-Inspector Dattatreya Giramkar, Police Constables Mangesh Thigale, Janardhan Shelke, Ajit Bhujbal and Raju Momin.
