Pune: Congress party workers were seen arguing with parents who were protesting against the private schools which have arbitrarily hiked the fees.
The verbal duel between parents and Congress workers took place after Minister of School Education Varsha Gaikwad left backdoor leaving parents disillusioned during the meeting over school fee hike issue.
The parents association members submitted a memorandum of demands to Minister Gaikwad while she had arrived at a program at Balbharati in Pune on Wednesday. Gaikwad reportedly did not give ‘satisfactory’ answers to the protesting parents.
Minister Varsha Gaikwad immediately left the venue after which parents raised slogans against her. Parents have demanded that a concrete decision should be taken by January 30 regarding school fee hike by private schools.
