Pune University announces timetable for examination of final year students

Pune: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced the time table for examination of final year students. These examinations will be conducted from October 12. The examination will be conducted in offline and online mode simultaneously.

The Pune University will be conducting examination for about 2.50 lakh final year students from Pune, Nagar and Nashik districts. Out of these, 1.93 lakh students have opted for online while 40 thousand students have opted for offline mode for appearing for the examination. About 17 thousand students have not selected any of the two options. The Pune University has finalized 114 examination centers for the students who have decided to appear physically that is in the offline mode.

The SPPU has announced the timetable for almost all the courses except a few for Bachelor of Science degree courses. The Pune University has also informed that the students – who would appear physically for the examination – will get their hall ticket (admit card) from their college itself.

The written examination will be for 50 marks. Students will have to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The duration given to students to answer these questions is of one hour. Pune university faculties are preparing question paper sets for around 3,300 different subjects.

Online exam practice

The Pune University has also appointed an agency to conduct the examinations for the final year students. This agency will be setting up a dedicated cell for the students in the university premise. The students who appearing for the examination in online mode will be able to practice for the exam three days before the actual examination will be conducted.

Earlier the exams were scheduled to start from October 10 for regular students and from October 1 for backlog students. But the university administration has postponed it as there are several other exams like UPSC, MPSC and NET scheduled during the same period.
